Circa 16 Acre Parcel of Land, together
with traditional stone cottage in need of major renovation, at
Drom North, Castletownbere, Co. Cork. (Opposite GAA Grounds).
The subject parcel of land, which lies approximately half a mile
west from Castletownbere, is generally rectangular in shape and
lies adjacent to the northern boundary of the R572.
This agricultural holding lies outside the development boundary
of Castletownbere and is being offered for sale subject to
Contract and Title only.
The land may be characterised as rough pasture sloping from its
southern roadside boundary with a fall to the north reaching the
small waterway at the rear known as Creevoge Stream. A small
portion of the north-east corner of the land traverses the stream
to its northern side.
The boundaries are well defined physically and with natural stone
and hedgerow fencing. The roadside boundary, which is in good
condition, extends for approximately 300 metres and is
constructed of low profile stone. There are two roadside
agricultural entrances, one at the south-west entry point to the
land immediately adjacent to its western boundary which measures
approximately 5 metres wide and lies almost directly opposite the
Castletownbere G.A.A. grounds and clubhouse. The second gated
entrance lies close to the eastern boundary of the lands.
The former cottage has not been occupied as a residence for some
time and appears to be in a state of dereliction.
Services
Mains power and telecom lines service the land, the former with
ESB lines passing over and the latter with Eircom lines running
along the southern boundary at the roadside. The land is serviced
with mains water by a line serving a number of bungalows and
other residences and the GA.A. clubhouse both opposite as well as
east and west of the subject. |
